Pharmaceutical Packaging — Wholesale for Pharmacies and Healthcare

Rx bottles fail inspections. Vials that don’t meet CPSC child-resistance standards create liability. Prescription labels that don’t print cleanly or adhere properly waste time and money every day at the dispensing counter.

We supply independent pharmacies, compounding facilities, and healthcare brands with pharmaceutical packaging that actually works — CPSC-compliant vials, amber Rx bottles, glass packer bottles, and prescription labels at wholesale pricing from our Jersey City, NJ warehouse.

Here’s what we carry and what to look for when you’re sourcing.

Pharmacy Vials

Most pharmacies need at least two vial types on hand: a push-down child-resistant vial for standard dispensing and a reversible-cap option for patients who have trouble with CR closures. We stock three mechanism types.

Vial Type How the CR Works Best For Sizes in Stock
Pop Top (Push-Down) Press down and push to open Standard Rx dispensing, cannabis dispensaries 8, 13, 16, 19, 20, 30, 40, 60, 120 dram
Reversible Cap Flip the cap to switch between CR and non-CR Elderly patients, dual dispensing needs 8, 13, 16, 20, 30, 40, 60 dram
Snap Cap No CR — simple snap close Physician samples, non-dispensing storage Multiple sizes

Our Philips Rx pop-top vials are Script-Pro compatible — they fit automated dispensing machines without adjustment. If you run a high-volume pharmacy and your counter runs Script-Pro, these are what you need.

Amber Oval Rx Bottles — Liquid Prescription Dispensing

Graduated oval Rx bottles in amber HDPE are what most pharmacies use for antibiotic suspensions, liquid vitamins, and other liquid prescriptions. The amber blocks UV light; the graduated markings let patients and caregivers measure doses accurately.

  • Sizes: 1oz, 2oz, 3oz, 4oz, 6oz, 8oz, 12oz, 16oz
  • Amber HDPE — blocks UV light for light-sensitive medications
  • Graduated markings on every bottle — ml and fl oz
  • Child-resistant caps included on all sizes
  • CPSC 16 CFR 1700.15 compliant

Glass Packer Bottles — Solid-Dose Dispensing

Glass packer bottles are used by pharmacies and compounders for tablets and capsules. Wide-mouth openings work with automated pill counters. We stock amber glass in six sizes.

  • Available sizes: 100cc, 120cc, 150cc, 200cc, 250cc, 300cc, 500cc
  • Amber glass — UV protection for light-sensitive formulations
  • Wide mouth — compatible with most automated tablet counters
  • Suitable for USP <661> container requirements

Prescription Labels — 7,650 per Case

Standard prescription label sheets, 7,650 per case. Compatible with most pharmacy management software label formats. If your system prints to a non-standard size or layout, contact us — we can confirm compatibility before you order a case.

Pharmacy Bags

Plain white pharmacy bags in standard dispensing sizes. Suitable for independent pharmacies, hospital outpatient pharmacies, and compounding facilities. Opaque so patient prescription information isn’t visible through the bag.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your vials CPSC child-resistant compliant?

Yes. All pop-top, reversible-cap, and push-turn CR vials we sell meet CPSC 16 CFR 1700.15. If you need test documentation for a specific SKU — for a state pharmacy board audit or internal QA — contact us and we will provide it.

What does Script-Pro compatible actually mean?

Script-Pro is a commonly used automated dispensing system in independent pharmacies. “Compatible” means the Philips Rx pop-top vials we sell are dimensioned to fit the machine’s vial holders and counting mechanism without manual adjustment. If you are using a different automated system, contact us with the make and model and we will confirm compatibility before ordering.

What’s the difference between a reversible cap and a standard CR cap?

A standard CR cap (push-down-and-turn) operates only in a child-resistant mode. A reversible cap has two orientations: one side is child-resistant, while the other side is easy-open. By flipping the cap, patients with limited hand strength can open it without the push-down motion.

Do amber bottles actually protect medications from light?

Yes. Amber HDPE blocks most UV light in the 290–450nm range, where photodegradation occurs for many light-sensitive oral medications. Clear bottles provide minimal protection. For medications requiring light protection, amber bottles are necessary.

What is the minimum order for pharmacy vials?

Most vial SKUs are sold by the case. Standard sizes (13, 16, 20 dram) are typically 1,000 units per case. Larger sizes such as 60 and 120 dram come in smaller case quantities. There is no minimum order beyond one case. Contact us for pallet pricing on high-volume orders.

Can I order prescription labels in a custom format?

Our standard prescription labels (7,650 per case) fit most common pharmacy software formats. We do not currently offer custom-cut or custom-printed prescription label layouts through the standard catalog. However, contact our wholesale team to discuss options for higher-volume orders.
